Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

* At least 3 years teaching experience* Experience of leading a core subject

* Evidence of a high standard of classroom practice

* A thorough knowledge of the current curriculum practice

* A commitment to inclusive education

* The ability to have effective interpersonal motivation and enthusiasm.

* Knowledge of recent assessment techniques and statutory testing arrangements.

* A commitment to providing a broad and balanced curriculum through innovative approaches to teaching and learning.

* The ability to provide a happy, stimulating learning environment.

* A positive attitude to personal and professional development.

* The ability to work with other staff. including support staff. when planning and delivering the curriculum.

* The ability to work with parents, carers, and other members of the school community.

* A willingness to participate in extra-curricular activities.

* Evidence of planning lessons that maximise progress for all learner.

* Committed to implementing a curriculum, which meets the needs of all children and promotes their individual development through adaptive teaching strategies.

* Experience of implementing positive behaviour management.

* Demonstrates a high level of English Grammar (spoken and written).

* The capacity to inspire and motivate others, leading by example.

* Flexible in approach and willing to learn and develop new skills

What the school offers its staff



St Mary’s RC Primary school is a small primary school in Haslingden. We are also Lancashire Research School.



At present we have 142 children on roll aged between 4 and 11. Our children are polite, eager to learn and have excellent standards of behaviour. Our school is a joyous place to work.
