Summary
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for you to develop your career at RNOH.
The Adult Orthopaedics therapy team provide specialist post surgical acute care and rehabilitation to patients admitted for Joint replacement , Spinal , Upper limb ( shoulder and Elbow) and Foot and ankle surgery. As a tertiary referral and specialist orthopaedic hospital we see complex Orthoapaedic conditions.
The therapy team assess and manage patients during the pre-assessment stage, acute post-operative inpatient stay . They make appropriate referrals for ongoing care for these patients.
You will be the co-lead Occupational Therapist for the Adult Orthopaedic service with the opportunity to develop clinical and leadership skills.
You will benefit from a multi professional structure of clinical specialists, peer support and supervision within the therapy department.
You will provide supervision and line management to a Band 6 Occupational Therapist and a Band 5 rotational Occupational Therapist in the team.

Ideally you will have had 5 years post qualification experience, with some orthopaedic experience. This post utilises many transferrable skills from physical rehabilitation. We strongly encourage an Informal visit or discussion on the phone regarding the post.
Secondment from another NHS organisation will be considered.
