Summary
An exciting opportunity has come up to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to become part of our friendly and supportive team. You will be supporting an EYFS child on a one to one basis in a Key Stage 1 classroom. You will also be preparing some materials and recording progress and observations.
What will the apprentice be doing?
This role will be classroom-based with the successful candidate taking direction from the class teacher and SENCO to provide high quality support to small groups of children and individuals.
Duties will include:
- To help children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs to
learn as effectively and independently as possible, both individually and in small
groups
- To prepare materials and resources to support individuals, small groups and
classroom activities
- To work with children on individual targets in reading, writing and maths
We are looking for someone:
- Who is calm, flexible and imaginative
- Has good interpersonal skills and is able to use their initiative as well as working
well in a team
- Has a good level of English, maths and IT skills
A willingness to undertake the following training is essential:
- Children Protection and Prevent Training
- First Aid Training
- Food safety Training
The successful candidate will be:
