Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Nurse to join our team at Little Angels Aveley. As a Nursery Nurse, you'll play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Implementing and planning age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's learning and development.
Providing a safe and secure environment for children to thrive, following health and safety regulations.
Building strong relationships with children and their families, offering support and communication regarding their child's progress.
Conducting observations and assessments to track children's development and prepare progress reports.
Collaborating with colleagues to create an engaging curriculum that meets the individual needs of each child.
Promoting positive behaviour management techniques and encouraging social skills development.
Maintaining accurate records and updating necessary documentation related to children's progress and welfare.
Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in childcare.
Requirements:
Hold a recognized childcare qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Prior experience working in a nursery or early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of child development and early years curriculum.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with initiative.
Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and health & safety regulations.
