Summary
The post-holder will exercise the necessary skills and experience in administrative tasks to provide a high quality, responsive and efficient administrative service, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail whilst assisting in ensuring that all systems, policies and procedures are maintained. The post holder will be competent in data inputting with a good knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications. Sound communication skills are vital, as is the ability to prioritize workload. The post-holder must be able to work independently and follow the policies and procedures for the department whilst using their own initiative and keeping line manager and senior colleagues informed. The post holder will provide diary management support to the Director and deputy Director of Estates, Facilities & Capital Development. This is a role with lots of variety and ad hoc demands and the post-holder will demonstrate excellent time management and planning skills. This post may develop over time to meet the specific needs of the directorate and the changing demands on the service. The post-holder will also possess a flexible approach to work. The ability to work effectively with a range of disciplines across the organization whilst taking direction from the Estates & Facilities (E&F) Support manager is essential. The post-holder will participate fully as an Estate & Facilities member taking an active role in the co-ordination of the help desk service and helping to provide a responsive and caring service to our clients/staff. The post holder is a key member of the team whose overarching goal is to enable, promote and support the effecting use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio services and initiatives.
