We are looking for a Trade Supervisor to join our team based in Basildon. As Trade Supervisor you will coordinate between the Operations manager and your team on a daily basis to plan the operative’s workload to be completed as per the Void and Responsive program. A company van will be provided for company use and the role will have opportunities to develop your career further.
The role of Trade Supervisor will include:
- Managing a team of Trade Operatives across multiple sites, ensuring that high quality work is carried out
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Completing site surveys and meeting with clients to continuously improve our services
- Processing orders for materials and managing resources effectively
- Working to a high standard and meeting set KPI's
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in services
- Assisting with the recruitment, performance management and development of staff
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to ILM membership (The Institute of Leadership), NVQ Level 3 in a core trade subject and have STAR Training or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
- A track record of working or supervising void or responsive works on site within a social housing or similar construction environment
- Demonstrable experience of managing/supervising staff within a responsive maintenance environment
- Previous experience in project management
- Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, specifically Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar)
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
