Teacher Active is proud to be working with an ambitious Primary School in North Devon. The school seeks to support their pupils to meet their goals whilst maintaining an encouraging, creative and team-spirited environment. The school’s main focus is to support the social, emotional and educational needs of each individual pupil.
The school is looking to employ a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time position with the possibility of a permanent position later down the line. The successful applicant will be working with Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2 children, helping them to work towards their milestones and learning goals. The applicant should have some experience in dealing with challenging behaviours and be able to work closely with Teachers to help with the general running of the classroom.
They need a proactive and inspiring individual to help 1 to 1 with their students who need extra academic and emotional encouragement and support. If you’re passionate about making a difference and making the learning environment a positive, fun and happy place for the pupils, then this could be the role for you.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Level 2/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Early Years – Desirable
• Experience in Secondary/Educational settings – 6 Months+
• Excellent classroom management
• Patience and resilience
