Summary
Working for a leading engineering firm based in Macclesfield, we are currently seeking a Planning Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering company who are going through an exciting growth period. The successful candidate will be expected to become a key member of the project and bid function of the business. The salary for this role is up to GBP55,000 per annum.
What will you be doing as a Planning Engineer?
- Preparation and submission of Tender and Construction Programmes
- Co-ordinate with the Design Manager, Project Design and Estimations departments to ensure a timely submission of tender packages
- Liaison with client to discuss and agree the content of programme i.e. work packages, areas of work and key dates of delivery
- Compile and review the construction issue programme
- Produce S-Curves, progress reports and productivity reports within Primavera P6
- Produce and review progress summary sheets and attend site meetings
What we require for the role of Planning Engineer?
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a planning role is essential
- Experience working in a planning role within an engineering/manufacturing environment
- Experience of dealing with multi-discipline projects
- Proven experience using Primavera P6. Experience working on a NEC contract would be advantageous
- Full driving license and the ability to be on site 4 days a week
- The job holder shall be able to demonstrate effective communication, negotiating and influence skills that enable them to work at all levels within the organisation
