Summary
Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking for your next challenge? Do you have experience with CMM programming paired with a good understanding of APQP, FMEA, SPC and MSA?? Then we might have the perfect opportunity for you! We have an opening with a successful heavy manufacturing company who are searching for a Quality Engineer to join the team.
What will your day-to-day activities as a Quality Engineer include?
The role, based in the Dudley Borough, will expect you to be fully involved with Quality Engineering position with extensive duties including (but not limited to):
• Supporting APQP and NPI activity
• Generating PPAP documentation during NPI
• Support customer 8D / CAR expectations
• Interacting with customers
• Supporting internal and external calibration processes
• Build on in house calibration procedures
• Perform audits
• Prepare work instruction and quality requirements
• Provide quality related training and mentoring
• Create new CMM programs
This role will be working in a heavy engineering/industrial environment working daytime hours (8am – 4:30pm) but will require some flexibility.
What will you need to be considered for this opportunity?
• Previous experience working in a quality engineer position
• Experience working in a heavy engineering environment
• Great attention to detail
• CMM programming experience
• A good understanding of APQP, FMEA, SPC AND MSA
• Knowledge of PC-DMIS software is desirable
• Quality driven
• A hardworking mentality
• An honest and reliable personality
