Summary

A brand-new role has become available working within our award-winning Health and Safety team at our defence site in Samlesbury, Blackburn. As a Health and Safety Coordinator, you will work closely with the Health and Safety Officer supporting all HSEQ activities in a manner that ensures all mandatory and statutory requirements are achieved.

Day to Day

  • Complete daily checklists and site walks looking for hazards, checking fire extinguishers and other site equipment
  • Carrying out risk assessments and dealing with any hazards where possible or escalating to HSEQ Officer to assist in the creation/modification of action plans
  • Create, maintain and support training of Safe System of Work documents
  • Support HSEQ Officer to respond to and investigate incidents
  • Work alongside colleague and Union H&S reps on projects and activities
  • Promote and demonstrate HSEQ best practice across the site
  • Create and deliver safety briefings
  • Administration of H&S activities
  • Support with environmental activities and initiatives
  • Help to facilitate training requirements
