More detail about the role Haematology consists of an Inpatient ward, Day case and Outpatients in a dedicated purpose-built facility. Yarty ward is a 14 bedded Haematology unit with attached day case caring for people receiving treatments including Systemic Anti-Cancer Treatments (SACT) Supportive care/Stem cell transplant programme and End of life care. We care for patients across the whole of Devon throughout their pathway, undergoing diagnostic, curative and palliative treatments, including the management of symptoms related to their therapies or their disease process. The SACT Registered Nurse works alongside the MDT that supports Haematology patients across the pathway. Experience of SACT delivery is essential to provide holistic care for patients undergoing treatment for their Haematology condition. There is access to CPD and Trust funds for the right individual to continue their development in this specialty with degree and masters pathways. The team is looking for individuals with experience in SACT, an interest in leadership and dedicated to quality care and positive patient experience. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 4 days a week. Some weekend working.
