Summary
We are looking to recruit two part-time Medical Receptionists, to join our friendly and thriving three site practice. The post is for a part-time applicant in a well-established GP practice, located in Trethomas, Caerphilly. We are looking for two enthusiastic, motivated and committed candidates with excellent communication skills who can fit into our current administration team and work 27.5 hours per week Monday Friday on a two-week rolling rota, with one week being mornings (8am-1.30pm) and the other week being afternoons (1pm 6.30pm). You will be expected to cover across our three practice sites. Previous experience working in a General Practice environment would be desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided. Duties will include, but are not limited to, opening/ closing the premises, answering telephone calls in a timely manner, basic care navigation, dealing with patients face to face, making appointments with the most appropriate clinicians/allied professionals, dealing with general queries on the phone and in person, general administration work, and offering further general assistance to the wider Practice team. Successful applicant/s will be offered membership to the NHS pension scheme. Essential Skills The ability to work under pressure. Good organisational and time management skills. Attention to detail. Basic Computer skills as a minimum training will be given on our clinic system. Reliable and trustworthy. Desirable Skills Previous experience working in General Practice. Previous experience working with EMISweb. Ability to drive, as you will be asked to cover between Trethomas, Llanbradach and Machen surgeries. Practice Overview We are a well-established, friendly and successful practice partnership with nearly 15,000 patients. We consist of three sites - Ty Bryn Surgery (Trethomas), Machen Branch Surgery (Machen) & Village Surgery (Llanbradach Centre for Health). All our practices are easily accessible from Caerphilly and the surrounding areas. We have a team of 15 GPs, 5 Nursing Staff & an Admin Team of 17 people, who are committed to providing high quality patient care.
