About the role:



You will be supporting in driving value-added projects using advanced analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau. Your primary focus will be on supporting internal audit and risk management efforts, ensuring robust risk and control testing. Actively contributing to business challenges aimed at reducing risk, optimising time and costs, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue.

Protecting the business to reduce risk, exploit opportunities, and uphold ethical standards will be central to your responsibilities, as you support the Senior Risk team in providing assurance to the Northern Director Team.

Your role will also involve fostering a positive work culture, supporting colleagues, and contributing to organisational resilience.

Key responsibilities:



This is a varied and challenging role, but here is a taste of what your day-to-day activities could include:

Using data analysis and insight techniques to support internal audits and risk management
Design and deliver data based audit testing and continuous monitoring
Working with colleagues to identify value adding projects which will enhance our audit and risk management effectiveness and help inform decision making
Streamline the management and reporting of compliance processes such as Speak Up and Conflicts of Interests
Present your work creatively, drawing on commercial awareness to present compelling and strategically important information
About you:



We are seeking a highly motivated individual capable of working independently and thriving in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong numeracy skills along with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with the operational environment would be advantageous.



We’re also looking for the following:

Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good working knowledge of analytical tools (incl. Snowflake, Alteryx and Tableau or equivalent), Microsoft office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Forms.
Effective written and verbal communication and good interpersonal skills are required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Ability to work to strict deadlines and remain calm under pressure
Strong organisational and problem solving skills
A drive to be innovative and self motivated
