The Role

This role will be at the heart of the DofE’s five-year strategy, Youth Without Limits, helping to ensure that we are open to all young people aged 14-24 across the UK and that our participants reflect the most diverse generation of young people ever.

The DofE Direct Programme Manager will lead the delivery and development of our online programme that enables 18–24-year-olds to achieve a Gold Award independently with remote support. You will deliver exemplary support to the young people doing their DofE through Direct, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and other key internal stakeholders, to ensure best practice is always followed.

The DofE Direct Programme Manager, will work with key stakeholders to understand the challenges and opportunities associated with the current offer, make recommendations for future delivery, and implement agreed changes moving forwards.

What we are looking for:

You have experience of managing impactful programmes for young people, ideally virtually, including reviewing and iteratively developing delivery model, extending reach and ensuring accessibility.

You will enjoy working with a wide variety of stakeholders and have excellent relationship management skills, including working with young people, parents/ carers and with a range of internal stakeholders at all levels. You’ll also have an excellent understanding of, and commitment to safeguarding best practice.

This role requires excellent organisation skills, with an ability to identify opportunities and challenges, and pro-actively problem solve. We are also looking for a demonstrated commitment to quality, continuous improvement, learning and development.
