Summary
The Junior Clinical Fellow, (JCF) in conjunction with the ED Consultants, Middle grade doctors and Nurses, would be expected to manage the wide variety of acute adult and paediatric emergencies presenting to the department. These are non-training posts, but the post holder would be expected to attend weekly junior doctor teaching in addition to the valuable training and experience that would be gained clinically. These posts would be ideal for doctors who have completed their Foundation programme training. They would be expected to provide teaching/training for medical students and doctors on clinical attachments. The department is fast growing and is a research active department with ongoing CRASH3 trial and Upcoming RAMPP, I-PED trials, there is an opportunity to get involved with teaching simulation- including a bimonthly teaching for the SHOs and Middle grades including multi-disciplinary teaching with other specialties. Those of you who are interested in doing prehospital EM, will have an opportunity to get involved with prehospital shifts (ECRU) in liaison with Oxford prehospital team. Other educational opportunities may also be available to those JCTFs who are keen to avail themselves of additional development.
