Summary

About The Role

Are you an experienced IT Vendor Manager looking for a new challenge within a constantly evolving IT Operations team? If so, this is the role for you.

As an IT Vendor Manager, you will achieve the following while presenting the IT Operations team in a positive light throughout the organisation:


- Work closely with procurement and legal teams to prepare purchasing, tender documentation and contract documents
- Manage all commercial aspects of the supplier relationship, ensuring all contractual obligations are fulfilled and remain suitable throughout the contracting life cycle
- Establishing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Operational Level Agreements (OLAs), security arrangements and performance targets.
- Manage the contract review and renewal process. Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure contracts remain appropriate
- Lead the supplier selection process to support new business solutions / services. Work with business and IT stakeholders to ensure strategic fit and effective transition into live
- Create a financial overview for Tier 1 vendors ensuring alignment with LiveWest business plan, monitoring and managing spend against budget and identifying cost optimisation opportunities.
- Implement a structured process (vendor management plan) for performance management and service improvement to drive service excellence and mitigate risks to gain increased value from vendors, and for managing key supplier relationship
- Increase awareness of vendor management within the organisation by defining and implementing a communications and stakeholder management plan
- Deliver quarterly balanced scorecards for regular updates and objective analysis of the most relevant and strategic measures of the vendor relationship.
- Develop and implement a commercial and contract management toolset to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.

We have one position available but this can be based at any of our 3 offices in Weston-Super-Mare, Tolvaddon and Exeter.

Hybrid working is available for this role - you will work from an area office at least 2 days each week. You may be required to attend the office for business meetings depending on business need.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of IT Vendor Manager, you will:

- Be familiar with ITIL framework - ideally qualified Have experience of onboarding suppliers Have proven experience of working with Procurement and Legal teams (D)
- Have IT security awareness and experience
- Be experienced in managing IT suppliers including Microsoft/Dell/ERP software provider
- Have experience of working within the corporate sector (D)
- Hold or be working towards CIPS Advanced Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (D)
- Excel in your people and leadership skills, coupled with a good communication style
- Be able to operate and present at many levels within an organisation from Exec team down
- Have experience in a similar role
- Display a high degree of personal motivation and initiative
