Salary: Lecturer UH7 £37,099pa to £44,263pa / Senior Lecturer UH8 £44,263pa to £56,021pa by annual increments.
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Main duties & responsibilities
The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (Mental Health Nursing) will provide high-quality academic input in relation to the planning, teaching, assessing and evaluation of modules and programmes (BSc, MSc and apprenticeship), and contribute to our continuing professional development portfolio. You will adopt an inclusive approach to teaching design, supporting successful learner outcomes, with the use of learning technologies and blended approaches to create a positive learner experience. You will be involved in the selection, recruitment and assessment of students where required, and subsequently hold responsibility for the supervision, support and progress review of students enrolled on the relevant modules. You will have experience maintaining and presenting data and reports in relation to your teaching and academic quality.
Senior Lecturers will also take on Module Leadership contributing to curriculum development and academic quality, whilst engaging in research and scholarly activity to remain academically relevant.
Skills and experience needed
You will have experience of teaching and supporting mental health nursing students and knowledge of current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to incorporate the values and principles of recover and wellbeing approaches within your own practice. You will be able to show evidence of your ability to work with autonomy and as part of a team as well, as well as being proficient in English language, having excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role requires you to be able to work to tight deadlines and are a motivated, committed and student-focused individual who is keen to play a key role in the provision of high-quality, evidence-informed teaching.
Experience of successful partnership working with practice partners and students would be desirable.
Qualifications required
You will be educated with a minimum of a honours degree (or equivalent qualification) or higher academic qualification in a relevant subject area. You must be an NMC registered mental health nurse. Hold a recognised teaching qualification or be willing to work towards this.
In addition, for the senior lecturer position, you will have a postgraduate qualification (such as a PgDip/Masters or equivalent) in a related area.
Doctoral study and Fellow of Advance HE qualifications, or a keen interest in pursuing these areas of study would be desirable for the senior lecturer post.
