Summary

Sales Development Manager
South West – to encompass Bath, Bristol and Taunton.
40 hours per week

With Brewers’ aims to be the decorator’s first choice for all decorating materials, we are looking for a highly motivated and sales driven individual to join the Sales Team for our South West Region. Internally this role is referred to as Area Development Manger - as an ADM you will be sharing our products and expert service with a specific focus on new customers as well as collaborating with existing customers to support and develop on-going relationships.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and knowledgeable about our products. Excellent customer service is an essential component of what we offer so you will be someone who understands and embodies this. Our ADM’s play a key role in supporting the Regional Manager develop business and run a profitable operation.
The successful candidate will have transferrable experience in this sector, ideally as a Sales Representative or equivalent. We would welcome applicants who have undertaken similar roles in our industry and who are interested in moving into a more sales driven position. You will need to display initiative, commercial acumen and have highly effective communication skills - developing a rapport with customers is key to the success of this role. You will be a confident self-starter as there is scope within the role to set your own sales plans and objectives.

The key objectives in this role will include:

Generating new business by establishing and growing relationships with new customers and developing our relationships with existing customers
Working with the National Sales Manager, Commercial Sales Director, Regional Manager, Area Development Managers and Branch Managers to increase Region sales while providing excellent customer service
Developing profitable business in the region in line with agreed objectives and KPI's
Providing the highest standard of friendly, knowledgeable service to deliver the Company objective to be the decorator's first choice

You will be able to demonstrate:

Previous experience in a retail / sales environment in our sector
Knowledge of paints, protective coatings and decorating sundries for either Trade or Retail markets would be beneficial
An enthusiasm for sales with the ability to build relationships and rapport easily with suppliers and customers
Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels
The ability and confidence to independently manage your own time and set targets for achievement
A current driving licence is essential, and you will live within the business area
