Senior Teaching Assistant
Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 195 days (term time plus 5 training days)
Starting salary will be: £25,409 - £27,852 pro rata (£19,282 - £21,517 actual) Grade 6
Our Multi Academy Trust is a group of inspirational and aspirational mainstream and specialist schools in Rotherham whose main objective is to ensure that all pupils make exceptional progress.
Due to expansion of the school we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Achievement Support Assistant to join the team at our Milton School setting. Milton School – this is an alternative provision for Early years, primary and secondary pupils who are unable to access mainstream education.
This person will be appointed to:
• Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils, understanding clearly how pupils learn
• Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate pupil progress
You will have experience of supporting pupils with SEN and be committed to working with others to maximise the educational and social opportunities available for children and young people who often are the most vulnerable.
We ideally would like this role to start ASAP.
Visits to the school are welcome; please contact Debbie Blaney, School Business Managers to make the arrangements via the school office.
Closing date: TBC
Venn Academy Trust is committed to achieving fairness and equality in employment and welcomes applications from all sections of the community. Our Trust is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applicants.
Online searches will be carried out as part of Venn Academy Trust’s recruitment due diligence for all shortlisted candidates, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022.
