Step Teachers are collaborating with a Secondary School in Barbican, London who are seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to instil that passion in the school’s students.
Role of a Cover Supervisor:
- Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Maintaining a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task.
- Assisting with the development of educational resources.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
- A passion for education and a genuine interest in working with secondary school students.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- The ability to adapt to various subjects and year groups.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
