The young peoples separated migrant children services (SMC) are a dedicated team committed to providing supporting and empowering environments for young people aged 16 – 18 years who are under the care of the Local Authority. Our approach is rooted in the principles of psychologically informed environments (PIE), ensuring that our services are tailored to meet the psychological and emotional needs of those we support. We believe in creating safe, welcoming spaces that foster growth, resilience and positive change, whilst adhering to Ofsted regulations.
About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Scheme Manager to join our team. In this role you will provide flexible and responsive support to the young people and frontline staff across 2 services, adapting to their individual needs and circumstances. Your work will be guided by the principles of PIE, ensuring that all interactions are trauma-informed and empathetic.
The Care and Supported Housing (C&SH) Scheme Manager role is part of the management team which provides a good quality service and promotes high standards of practice conducive to meeting the social, emotional, physical and spiritual needs of the young people.
The C&SH Scheme Manager will lead the team to provide a flexible service, which responds to changing needs. This includes ensuring the home runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, being involved in driving up quality and moving the service forward with new ideas and acting as a role model for staff at the service.
You must also have a drivers licence and access to a vehicle.
Please note that a condition of your employment is that you commit to starting the following qualification within one year of joining Hightown:

Managers- NVQ Level 5 or equivalent Children and Young Peoples Workforce Diploma

You must also sign up to the DBS Update Service.
