Summary


We are currently looking to recruit aBusiness Development Managerto be based out of our Head Office in Eccles.

You will be responsible for working in collaboration with commissioners, local authorities and ICB’s to establish new geographical areas to develop new supported living services, ensure maximum occupancy in existing services, and to grow our existing offer. This is a pivotal role in facilitating the ambitious growth plans for Northern Healthcare ensuring that new services are developed in areas where there is sufficient demand and to gain full commissioner support.

Through development of relationships with key stakeholders in commissioning, Local Authorities, and ICB’s, you will identify service requirements (accommodation type, location and size), expected demand and referral pathway, and produce a specification to direct partners in the property search. You will be the key point of contact for stakeholders to ensure they are updated on the development plans and are engaged in key parts of the process. Through these relationships, you will also maximise occupancy in existing services, and create market intelligence around new models and requirements across our regions.



Key Responsibilities:

• Identify new areas for Northern Healthcare to develop new supported living schemes including mental health, learning disability and step-down services.
• Responsible for identifying and building relationships with key commissioning stakeholders.
• Conduct due diligence on new areas to establish demand levels, accommodation requirements, funding levels, referral pathways and competitors.
• Produce written proposals confirming required service model/pathways and accommodation requirements for agreement with commissioners
• Production of high-level business case for new developments for submission to board for review and approval.
• Create new relationships with housing partners and RP’s to provide feedback on target areas for property searches.
• To provide quick response to acquisitions team where properties are identified speculatively – make contact with commissioning teams to start due diligence.
• In areas where new services are being developed, referral pathways to be clearly identified and liaison with key teams to start building pipeline.
• Liaise with BDM and Bid team to identify any frameworks/contracts that are required for new areas, and support tenders on relevant frameworks, competitions, etc.
• In the lead up to completion of new schemes, deliver effective mobilisation and partnership working, both internally and externally to ensure swift delivery and opening of service.
• Development of excellent internal relationships with operations, finance and People teams to ensure stakeholder feedback is factored into build projects.
• To be an ambassador of Northern Healthcare and represent the organisation positively.
• Maintain accurate customer records and history of discussions using Salesforce CRM and other software.
• To be an active member of the wider business development and marketing team maintaining strong working relationships and collaborative working.
• Ability to influence stakeholders to reach optimum outcome for NHC.
• Identify future progression pathways for the people we support and ensure a healthy pipeline is in place to fill these places.





Where you’ll be working

Your location will be North West with Nationwide travel when required

Working Hours

The role is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. This role requires a level of flexibility
