Summary
We are currently seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support nursery and EYFS classes. This full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm during term time, is based at a mainstream primary school in B74 starting September 2024.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide valuable support to early years pupils.
- Conduct group interventions to enhance learning.
- Utilize creativity and imagination to engage and inspire pupils.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers and the school SENCO to monitor pupil progress.
- Lead phonics lessons for children below and above age-expected levels.
- Provide 1:1 support to children with autism, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and low learning levels.
- Contribute positively to the school community and uphold its values.
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant degree or Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Have prior experience working with children in a school setting.
- Experience in supporting special educational needs is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build effective relationships with pupils.
