Maternity cover

The post holder will be responsible for taking a leading role in carrying out Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) assessments with tribunal cases. This is an excellent opportunity to help shape and develop our statutory service provision working alongside our School Aged Pathway lead and MDT colleagues. They will work closely with the physiotherapy and speech and language therapy team leads within the tribunal team.

Conduct occupational therapy assessments and write reports for tribunals needs assessments for children and young people aged 0-19 years.
• Produce high quality professional advice and reports to inform EHCP decisions
• Build effective working relationships with children, families, schools and other agencies

· Monitor progress, and maintain timely and comprehensive clinical records.

· Contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and collaborate on joint goal-setting for Education Health and Care Plans. Co-produce EHCP assessment with various stakeholders (parents/ agencies/ schools)

· Manage tribunals and mediations by reviewing evidence, preparing reports, and attending hearings/meetings to represent and advise on occupational therapy recommendations under the guidance of the Operational Lead

· Maintain knowledge of best practices in paediatric OT through ongoing professional development.

· To liaise and use specialist clinical skills with a wide range of health, education professionals, Buckinghamshire County Integrated SEND team and specialist tertiary centres.

· Work autonomously to provide highly specialist occupational therapy assessments, and expertise for children and young people aged 0-19 years.

· Liaise closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, parents, and education providers for children on the tribunal caseload.
