Job Description:
We are seeking talented and passionate cooks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have a basic knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and be eager to learn and grow with our company. As a cook at Yaji Kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting our delicious dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Nigerian dishes according to our recipes and standards.
Shift Work: Ability to work long hours on a shift pattern, including evenings and weekends.
Kitchen Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, tidy, and organized at all times. This includes regular cleaning of work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food handling safety standards and regulations. If not already certified, you will be provided with training in food hygiene and safety.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing stock levels, including ordering and tracking ingredients and kitchen supplies.
Instruction Compliance: Follow detailed instructions for dish preparation and cooking to maintain consistency and quality.
Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as needed in a startup environment.

Requirements:
Experience: Basic knowledge of Nigerian cuisine is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidates.
Skills: Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions, work under pressure, and manage time effectively.
Food Handling Knowledge: Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices. Training can be provided for those without formal qualifications.
Communication: Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and split shifts.
Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods and handling the physical demands of a busy kitchen environment.
