Summary
Location: Garforth, Leeds
This role involves leading the production of monthly management accounts and explaining variances to the agreed timetable. You'll act as a business partner to explain the results and assist in driving the business results. You'll also support business planning and forecasting to ensure we set targets and refresh our understanding of likely achievement on a monthly basis.Key objectives include maintaining and controlling the day-to-day accounting function for the company, preparing the monthly management accounts pack for the Financial Director to review, and assisting in the preparation of management information when requested.
Job Duties:
- Monthly Management Accounts:
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts within the agreed timetable.
- Explain variances and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Business Partnering:
- Act as a business partner, interpreting financial results and assisting in driving business performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve financial goals.
- Financial Control:
- Maintain and control day-to-day accounting functions.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Business Planning and Forecasting:
- Support business planning by setting targets and refreshing performance understanding.
- Assist in preparing management information as needed
The ideal candidate should have excellent computer knowledge, good attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to work well under pressure to deadlines. Experience working in the industry and knowledge of software packages such as SAGE or EVision would be advantageous.
