Summary

Job Title: CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator

Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
Salary: Circa £45,000 - £50,000 per year

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join our established manufacturing company, renowned for producing high-quality components for the Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, and Defence sectors. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional skills in precision engineering and turning processes, with a strong emphasis on maintaining tight tolerances.

Key Requirements:
⦁ Expertise in programming, setting, and operating 3-axis mills (4-axis preferred) and 2 & 3-axis lathes with live tooling.
⦁ Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming and offline programming.
⦁ Capability to manually write and edit CNC programs at the machine, including comprehensive setup involving material, tooling, speeds, and feeds.
⦁ Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and standards.
⦁ Experience with Doosan and HAAS lathes is desirable.
⦁ Familiarity with Fanuc controls is advantageous.
⦁ A solid history of working in a machine shop environment, demonstrating a hands-on, quality-driven, and self-motivated approach.

Responsibilities:
⦁ Conduct in-process inspections using measuring equipment to ensure precision.
⦁ Produce low to medium volume precision parts from various metals.
⦁ Write and modify CNC programs for parts production from raw castings, billet, and bar feed, using both online and offline programming (Hypermill)
⦁ Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures as needed.
⦁ Manage raw stock and tooling to minimize production delays.
⦁ Coordinate with suppliers to source necessary stock, tooling, and equipment.
⦁ Oversee machine maintenance and provide recommendations for new equipment.
⦁ Create comprehensive manufacturing packs for repeat jobs to ensure consistency.
⦁ Maintain equipment in proper operating condition by performing simple preventive maintenance and repair tasks such as adjusting, fluid checks and replacing minor parts.
⦁ Responsible for daily inspection and cleaning of the milling machines, tooling and parts to maintain equipment in optimal production condition.
⦁ Work in accordance with the quality system and processes of the company.
⦁ Adhere to the companys health and safety requirements and complete training as required.

Benefits:
