Summary


We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic senior chief clinical cardiac physiologist to join and lead our cardiac physiology team based at the Royal Free Hospital.

The post-holder will lead the physiology team in support of our 2 catheter labs and the on-call service that is in place for the Heart Attack Centre [HAC]. We also have a large cardiac rhythm management [CRM] and non-invasive service supporting patient referrals and treatment plans to our specialist clinics within the hospital and more widely across the NCL sector.
• To lead the cardiac physiologist rhythm and catheter lab service at Royal Free Hospital site.
• To manage the operation and staff of the cardiac rhythm management team.
• With a high level of autonomy and skill independently practice as a senior chief cardiac Physiologist in advance cardiac rhythm management and electrophysiology studies.
• Line manager for the cardiac physiology rhythm team, managing staff performance, attendance, personal development and their wellbeing. Ensure to abide with the Trust guidelines and policies.
• Provide educational support to the CRM team and be responsible for the development and growth of the cardiac physiologist clinical development. Encourage staff to be part of the clinical research and support in clinical educational.
• Ensure strong clinical and corporate governance of the Cardiac Physiology elements of the CRM service, including compliance to robust procurement processes, in line with the trust standing financial instructions.
• Demonstrate continuous service development, providing specialist input to the clinical service delivery and actively contributing to the smooth running of quality service.
• Actively support all CRM and cath lab patient pathways, support the cath lab clinical lead and the cardiology research fellow. Active insight into cardiac rhythm new service development, lead the service in tender and be an ambassador for the trust rhythm service.
