More detail about the role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust at our Eastern site in Exeter with satellite clinics at Whipton Hospital and the Nightingale, Exeter. We are a busy department providing a wide range of investigations and are looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated and hard working Physiologist to join our team. The Echocardiography team provide a full in/outpatient service including ICC and ACHD clinics. As well as TTE we provide support for TOE and Stress echo investigations and run Physiologist led bubble and contrast echo clinics with the next step being Physiology led valve clinics. The department offers a comprehensive range of non invasive and invasive investigations including ambulatory monitoring and Physiologist led exercise tolerance tests. Our two cardiac catheterisation labs perform cardiac angiography and angioplasty, with a 24 hour Primary PCI service. In our third lab we perform EP procedures and implant pacemaker, ICD and CRT devices. We are looking for a Specialist Cardiac Physiologist with a focus on Echocardiography to join our experienced team. The successful applicant will also be expected to take a role in other procedures. The successful candidate will have completed a BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent. Be RCCP or AHCS registered and hold a current ILS or ALS certificate. They will have BSE accreditation or equivalent with further evidence of CPD focusing on echocardiography. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a proven record working to a high standard with excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills. You will contribute to our multidisciplinary team, working closely with our Cardiology Consultants.
