Summary

High Intensity CBT Therapist / Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist - Permanent & Fixed Term (full and part time posts considered)

Are you passionate about providing flexible, person centred, evidenced based psychological therapy to people struggling with a range of psychological difficulties including anxiety and depression? Do you want to continue to broaden and develop your skillset through regular high-quality individual and group supervision, a team approach to clinical decision making and ongoing CPD opportunities?

We are looking for Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and Cognitive Behavioural Therapists with experience of working with adults with a range of mental health difficulties to join our lively, dedicated and supportive iCope NHS Talking Therapies team (NHSTT formerly known as IAPT).

We have posts in both Camden and Islington. Some of the roles in Camden may involve working into the Long-Term Conditions Pathway. Some of the roles in Islington will be split across the core NHSTT team and the integrated long term conditions team. Roles offered with an LTC element will include training in CBT for Long Term Conditions.

You will be part of a well-established, successful service providing assessment and psychological interventions, often in primary care settings, as part of the range of high intensity interventions we offer (which include CBT, EMDR, IPT, DIT, BCT and Counselling). You will also offer (or work towards offering) supervision to junior colleagues, and advice, consultation and training to other clinical colleagues as well as having the opportunity to contribute towards shaping and developing our service in partnership with our service users.

We are committed to investing in helping those who work with us to develop both personally and professionally, developing specialist areas of clinical expertise and increased awareness of the challenges faced by the diverse communities that we serve and are part of. We consider this through supervision, training and research opportunities, service development projects and reflective spaces.

We are also mindful that working in a fast-paced service with people experiencing psychological distress can be challenging as well as immensely rewarding and we take a compassionate leadership approach to ensure that these challenges are acknowledged and that staff are supported through wellbeing focused line management, supervision, peer support, team working and a range of wellbeing initiatives.

Our iCope teams are dedicated to making meaningful, system level change linked to equality, diversity & inclusion so we invite & welcome passion for this.

Our aims in iCope are:
• For our staff to have job roles that feel sustainable & receive high level in-house training, continuing professional development & regular supervision.
• For our service users to receive high quality psychological interventions that are goal-focused, evidence-based & designed for people with common mental health problems who are likely to benefit from them.
• For our workforce to reflect the rich diversity in our local communities.
• For our service to work in partnership with our local communities to develop & promote mental health strategies locally.

The post holder will demonstrate a commitment to demonstrating the North London Partnership values and cultural pillars, which are:

· We are kind

· We are respectful

· We work together

· We keep things simple

· We empower

· We are proudly diverse

By coming to work at the North London Partnership you will be joining a Trust with a national reputation for research, where services recognise that research underpins its commitment to providing high quality and innovative clinical care.

We are a well-established NHS Talking Therapies service with strong training and research links with University College London. We pride ourselves on offering a high level of in-house training and regular supervision from experienced clinicians. We are committed to investing in helping those who work with us to develop both personally and professionally, developing specialist areas of clinical expertise and increased awareness of the challenges faced by the diverse communities that we serve and are a part of through supervision, training and research opportunities, service development projects and reflective spaces.
