Summary

NEW Chef/ Cook Opportunity in Prestonpans (Excellent Hours and No Late Shifts)



Bield have a great opportunity for a Chef/Cook who is looking to move away from late nights and long hours in the kitchen to an extremely rewarding role, preparing traditional home cooked Scottish fare on a daily basis. This is an ideal position for someone who takes pride in home cooking and the nutrition of older people.



Johnny Moat Place provides a Retirement Housing with Meals Service to tenants, aged 60 and over, who wish to retain their independence but also want to benefit from leaving the worries of making their own meals each day to someone else.



Johnny Moat Place is situated close to the centre of Prestonpans near local amenities. There are excellent train and bus links to North Berwick and Edinburgh.



The right candidate will benefit from daytime work and great work life balance as you will be expected to prepare a main meal for lunch time and a lighter meal in the early evening.





Hours of employment are 20 hours per week organised as shown below.


Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10:00am -6:00pm.

Role Requirements

An interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs is essential. Although relevant experience in a similar post is also desirable, it is not essential as induction and training will be provided.
