Data Management Accountant – 12 Month Fixed term Contract
The vacancy
Hours: 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
The role
We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as a Data Management Accountant here at Housing 21.
You will lead and advise on the Chart of accounts, requested changes and additions, challenging, and advising colleagues in finance.
Testing and checking systems and data as and when required by business, checking, and uploading actual and budget data between finance systems.
Defining reporting requirements, writing specifications, working with teams to implement the solution including testing and deployment to the business.
You will also take responsibility for effectively developing financial thinking with non-Finance colleagues with a customer focused lens/perspective and designing business support around customer needs & expectations.
While this role is home based you will need to travel into the Head Office in Birmingham as and when required so you will need to live within a commutable distance.

What we’re looking for
The requirements for the role include:
• Significant demonstrable knowledge of Data Governance, and Data Management Frameworks
• Experience of working with complex financial systems with numerous interfaces from feeder systems
• Financial controls and safeguards
• Experience of updating chart of accounts/ hierarchies
• Significant change management experience (desirable)
• Social housing and care sectors experience (desirable)
• Working with all level of Stakeholders including Senior Managers and Directors (desirable)
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA/CA graduate calibre finance professional, or equivalent relevant experience
