An exciting opportunity is available for candidates to apply for a full timeSeniorHealthcare Assistant post at West Berkshire Community Hospital Inpatient Unit. The successful candidate will be working in a supportive and flexible working environment, withample opportunityfor new learning and professional development pathways.


The post is rotational for day and night shifts across two inpatient wards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, positive member of the nursing team to support the qualified staff in the running of the ward and to provide direct care to patients. Part of your role will be to ensure that patient safety ismaintainedat all times. We would expect you to fulfil the role of aSeniorHealthcare Assistant using a Competency Tool applicable to this role.


You would be working within a fantastic, hardworking multi-disciplinary team supporting andassistingqualified staff in the implementation of patient care.

The “must haves” for this role:




• Good communicationskills both written and IT.

• Ability to work as part of a team.

• Reliable, punctual and support change within the ward environment

• Will berequiredto undertake the Care Certificate training.

• Previousformal caring experienceworking in a similar environment.

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or experience.
