Summary

Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Newport.
Start: September 2024 - August 2025.
Fixed 1 year contract.
Term time only role, Monday to Friday 08:20am-15:10pm.

A lovely secondary school in the Newport area are seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within the additional needs department. This is full-time opportunity to support pupils with additional learning needs with their school work and wellbeing.

About the role:
- Working with students with Autism, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Global Development Delay, Mental health needs.
- Assisting pupils with their work alongside the teacher.
- Offering intervention and support to the pupils within the learning and development base.
- The pupils within the base work from a primary curriculum.
- Promote a happy and healthy learning environment.

About you:
- Experienced working with children or vulnerable adults with learning difficulties.
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's.
- Kind, caring and supportive.
- Have an understanding of additional learning needs.
- Motivated and able to lead by example.

This is an opportunity to join a thriving secondary school on a fixed 1 year school contract.
