Summary
Are you looking for the chance to help shape the strategy for one of the Department’s top priorities?
This is an exciting role in the International Strategy and Delivery team in the Department for Business and Trade.
You will be joining a fun, friendly and dynamic team. In in this role you will help develop and deliver the strategy for increasing the access UK businesses have to markets around the globe. This role would suit someone who wants to work collaboratively and creatively on an area which is vital to driving UK economic growth.
The team is at the heart of the newly created International Strategy and Trade Relations directorate. Our directorate is a centre of country, regional, global and trade policy expertise in the Department for Business and Trade.
The post holder will be required to:
- Develop strategic approaches to key priority areas for the directorate.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with business facing and comms teams in DBT.
- Regularly present market access work to internal and external audiences. This will require strong communication and presentation skills.
- Develop expert knowledge of market access and the directorate’s broader strategic interests.
- Support central briefings related to market access (Parliamentary Questions, briefing for Ministers, etc), maintaining effective core lines on market access, being a key contact point for briefing teams.
- Some occasional UK and overseas travel may be required.
