Summary
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Education and training:To take an active lead in supporting pre and post registration learners in the clinical settings. To take an active lead in enhancing the quality of the learning environment by overseeing the individual development needs of students and practice Supervisors/assessors and to promote the development of Neonatal Nursing and Education through clinical practice. To take an active lead in undertaking audit and quality reviews, making andimplementing recommendations based on student/practice assessor andsupervisor feedback and evaluations jointly conducted by the Education Team and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) University Link Lecturers. To work alongside HEI to support and develop the tripartite relationship. To take an active lead in facilitating and teaching on the Neonatal Foundation program. To take an active lead in facilitating the development of needs of all staff working on the Neonatal unit. To facilitate clinical teaching/simulation to pre and post registration learnersTo ensure learning environment is suitable for all learners. To work as a highly visible and expert practitioner throughout Neonates, including developing nurse in charge competencies. To ensure mandatory training needs are met as a unit. Clinical/ ProfessionalTo be responsible for own professional conduct and maintain own professional development by updating knowledge and attending study days.
