Typical day as an Estate Liaison Officer
- Overseeing maintenance works carried out by our trades team and partner contractors, ensuring high quality work and that our customers are happy with the outcome.
- Working alongside the Home Group retrofit project team - delivering sustainability projects nationally where required. Ensuring a high level of customer service, communication, and updates, making sure that our customers are fully aware of what work is required, why, and how these will be delivered.
- Supporting our Maintenance and Contract Manager and Surveyors to improve quality standards of repairs and ensuring homes are maintained to a high standard.
- Acting on behalf of and representing our customers with trades, contractors and subcontractors.
- The key point of contact during maintenance works, quickly resolving any customer issues and ensuring that they are at the heart of decision making.
- Driving customer satisfaction and maintenance improvements through analysis, insight, and feedback to support us to deliver on our customer promise.

You have
- Experience of overseeing maintenance works with a good technical understanding.
- Knowledge or prepared to gain the knowledge of Retrofit work, or an understanding of PAS2035.
- Able to communicate technical maintenance specifications and works requirements to customers in a way that is clearly understood.
- Passionate about driving customer satisfaction and have the tenacity needed to resolve long standing and complex customer complaints.
- A self-starter approach, able to work unsupervised to manage your own patch.

Job details
- This is a hybrid role, and you’ll spend most of your week working in our communities across the Northwest of Cumbria, and across Northeast Regions, planning and travelling between these locations on a regular basis to support the delivery of the planned Retrofit work. You’ll spend the others working from our office in One Strawberry Lane, Newcastle or Anthorne House, Maryport or working from home.
- There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
- We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
- To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
- You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
- You must be able to use technology for updating records, completing online learning, and collaborating with other colleagues.
