Warehouse Operative with occasional delivery driving
We are looking for a new member of staff for our Driving and Warehouse team. Someone who can be flexible and have the skills and the willingness to learn new skills needed for employment in multiple roles. The ideal candidate would have a warehouse experience, a driving license to complete delivery driving tasks a counterbalance forklift license would be an advantage however training can be given.
The role will include lone working whilst driving and teamwork in the warehouse. The role will offer opportunities to improve skills in many areas through the varied responsibilities.
Duties to include:
Driving vans, pallet deliveries and loose load deliveries, loading and unloading vehicles, multi drop deliveries.
Warehouse duties include, packing online orders, goods received and dispatch, loading and unloading vehicles, picking, and packing for domestic and export deliveries, stock adjustment, stock rotation, labelling, filling, and other general warehouse duties. All necessary training will be given.
3 shifts per week Monday, Tuesday and Saturday.
Weekday shifts have a 1-hour unpaid break.
Monday and Tuesday Start time 7:30am - finish time 5:00pm
Saturday start time 9:00am - finish time 1:00pm
Extra hours are paid at normal rate for a weekday shift. Extra hours on a weekend are paid at the higher rate.
Holidays
21 days plus bank holidays pro rata.
Starting on a three-month probationary period, after a successful trial an employment contract will be offered, there will be access to the company private health scheme and company pension contributions.
