If you answered yes, we’ve got the perfect role for you!

We are looking fora Band 5 WorkforceData Assistant to join our friendly team. You will work alongside the ESR Lead on a range of projects providing high-quality workforce information, systems and project support.

The role will involve ensuring workforce data is accurate and informative, and employees are trained in the use of HR systems. We are looking for someone who is detail-focused, with excellent communication skills.

You should have great Excel and/or Power BI skills and be able to analyse, interpret and present data, identifying themes and trends. The role also requires a willingness to work through systems issues, identifying and fixing errors.

You will work closely with HR and payroll colleagues, IT and project management teams, external providers, as well as staff and managers from across MCH.

Experience of working within Human Resources, and an understanding of HR/payroll processes, especially within the NHS, would be an advantage.

Post holders can work from home, but should be able to attend MCH sites for meetings and training as required.

The small print

The post holder will be expected to

• identify and resolve data issues within the various HR systems

• ensure HR data is coded in line with national guidelines

• produce routine monthly reports (such as turnover, absence, training compliance, appraisal rates) and help build new HR dashboards in Excel and Power BI

• send out starters and leavers reports to teams such as IT, reception and other internal system managers

• assist with ad-hoc requests for information, either from service managers or external organisations • maintain the organisational and management hierarchies in ESR (our main HR/payroll system) and in Zone Standard (our rostering system), creating cost centres, organisations, locations and positions as necessary

• carry out occasional data entry tasks where it is not possible to bulk load data

• help employees access their ESR and Zone Standard accounts, view payslips, record their leave and access eLearning

• carry out regular audits of smartcard access awarded to all employees

• assist with the management of virtual smartcards

• support with training users and service’s super users

• work with managers to ensure systems are correct
