Registered Children Home Manager
Duration: Full Time, permanent

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000
Social Care & Education are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our team in Kettering. The ideal candidate will ensure that the highest standards of care are met within the home, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children. You will be responsible for following policies and procedures, supporting and motivating staff, and creating a positive environment for both staff and residents.
The Role
Ensure standards of the home are met
Safeguard and promote children’s welfare
Follow policies and procedures
Support and prompt staff to perform to the best of their ability
Create rotas and ensure proper handovers
Manage all admissions
Handle budgets effectively
Report and record information accurately
Review performance targets
Create person-centred care plans for each young adult
Process any complaints efficiently
Ensure all new staff are inducted properly
Complete staff supervisions
Be on call on a rota basis
The Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a residential setting within the last five years
At least 1 year in a management role, as a Deputy Manager or Registered Home Manager
Clear DBS check
Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team
Level 3 in Residential Childcare
Level 5 in Leadership and Management (have or willing to work towards it)
Valid driver’s license
Competent IT skills
Skills:
Excellent communication abilities
Competent in risk assessment
Strong team working skills
Proactive and able to form positive relationships with young people
Flexible and willing to work different shift patterns
