About the Job
Senior Counter Fraud Managers are key members of the senior leadership group within the GIAA Counter Fraud and Investigation team (CF&I), a national team of 40 staff who deliver a range of professional services to over 120 customers across the UK. The team provides a range of counter fraud and investigation services to GIAA customers, including fraud risk assessment, fraud detection and prevention & deterrence activities.
We are looking for experienced counter fraud professionals who will compliment and strengthen the existing team. The postholder will join our senior leadership team and quickly become a trusted ambassador for our services, building and maintaining senior customer relationships. They will also have a key role in the day to day oversight and management of resources (people and finances), ensuring operational demands are met and services delivered are of a consistently high and professional standard.
The successful candidate will undertake oversight of high profile and sensitive incidents, ensuring these are delivered according to agreed plans, and in line with quality, time and budget requirements. This is an opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of specialist counter fraud services which are in demand across government!
Key responsibilities will include:
• Oversight of counter fraud activities to a wide range of government organisations covering fraud risk assessments, proactive detection, and policy development
• Being accountable for performance, demonstrating commercial and financial awareness, ensuring income is managed effectively and that counter fraud services maximise value for money
• Championing professional and personal development, contributing towards the continued development of an effective learning and development routeway for counter fraud staff
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders and customers, delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
