Summary

Come and join our amazing team led by our amazing Global Financial Controller. We are looking for an Accounting Policy & Recognition Manager to support the wider finance team globally here at Inspired Gaming.

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining accounting policies in accordance with relevant accounting standards (US and UK GAAP) and ensuring proper recognition of financial transactions and events. Playing a key role in providing guidance on complex accounting issues, conducting research, and communicating accounting policies across the Inspired finance team




As an Accounting Policy & Recognition Manager you will be responsible for :




Developing, updating and documenting accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (US and UK GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Monitor changes in accounting standards and assess their impact on the company, recommending necessary updates to accounting policies.
Ensure proper recognition and disclosure of financial transactions and events in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Review financial statements and disclosures as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting policies and standards.
Research and analyse complex accounting issues and transactions, providing guidance and recommendations to the finance management team
Assess the accounting implications of proposed business transactions, acquisitions, or changes in accounting policies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting policies and standards, communicating effectively with the finance team and external auditors.
Provide training and education to finance and non-finance personnel on accounting policies, standards, and related matters.
Collaborate and support with audit activities related to accounting policies, financial reporting, and compliance.
Developing accounting processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Stay updated with accounting standards, regulatory developments, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement in accounting policies and practices.




As skill set and experience goes, you will have the following:




Extensive experience in US GAAP and application to financial reporting and transactions
Experience within a publicly traded company or public accounting firm.
Qualified Accountant
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex processes and identify policy/control deficiencies
Ability to collaborate and train across multiple levels in the organization
Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Office applications
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to prioritise tasks
Approachability at all levels of staff and management
Ability to work within a wider operational team & fully contribute to management discussions
