Minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role

A Business Support Officer is required to support the IRS and MASH Teams within Children’s Services, which is an extremely busy frontline service. To provide business and administrative support including call handling, undertaking data quality and admin tasks such as processing and uploading contacts and referrals within the Eclipse Social Care System, minute taking and some elements of financial processes.

Key responsibilities:

Deal with enquiries, including technical queries about the service in line with procedures and protocols.
Collate and prepare management information as needed.
Process and upload contacts and referrals within the Eclipse Social Care System.
Give confidential administrative and business support including arranging and servicing meetings, preparing agendas and taking minutes as needed.
Give interactive WP support to the allocated service using digital, audio or copy typing.
Contribute to skills transfer activities by the demonstration of duties to support business continuity and to continually improve service.
Develop and maintain positive joint working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Some elements of financial processes will be required.

Qualifications:

5 GCSE’s or equivalent, including Maths and English.



Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Minute taking skills and experience are essential for this role.



Skills & Abilities:

Able to work to strict timescales and be adaptable to regular changing of priorities throughout the working day.
Able to multi-task.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
Able to manage a busy workload and demonstrate the ability to prioritise/reprioritise workloads as and when required to meet deadlines.
