What you'll do

As an Emerging Markets FX Trader, you’ll engage with Quantitative Analytics, Technology and Support teams to drive the development of desk infrastructure, valuation and risk management frameworks.

You’ll also be:

  • Collaborating across teams to widen client footprint and deepen client penetration, and supporting marketing activities
  • Contributing towards the overall product area trading strategy and creating innovative trade ideas
  • Providing market commentary and updates on emerging markets
  • Performing real-time risk monitoring and risk management activities

The skills you'll need

To thrive in this role, you’ll have a deep understanding of the FX market, as well as a proven understanding of the regulatory environment affecting the FX business. You’ll also need knowledge of the emerging markets macro landscape, paired with a track record of successfully managing a client franchise with exposure to FX Forwards trading.

In addition, you’ll need a minimum of eight years of direct front office experience in a Trading role. We’ll also expect you to have direct client relationships with EM focussed institutional accounts and some experience in EM Rates or XCCY Basis.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

  • A strong track record of generating FX Trading revenue
  • The ability to create or develop pricing tools for EM FX Forward curves using relevant market instruments
  • Experience of creating efficiencies and improvements in our tools and processes
  • Outstanding collaborative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to organise tasks and responsibilities as directed by the management
