Our client, a leader in renewable energy digitalisation, offers innovative AI-driven software and sensor networks to optimize asset efficiency and increase energy production. To support our rapid growth, they are seeking a dynamic Director (VP) of Software to lead their software and analytics development organisation.
**Role Summary:**
As the VP/ Director of Software, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for shaping the software offerings, driving AI innovation, and ensuring seamless integration with their sensor technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable cloud-based software solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Define and execute the technology strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Lead a diverse team of architects, developers, quality engineers, DevOps engineers, and data scientists.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive AI/ML model creation and leverage data science for automation and optimisation.
- Collaborate with sales, support, and product management to define and prioritize customer requirements.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Proven track record of leading software development teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in building scalable B2B software, AI, and IoT solutions; renewable energy experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Kubernetes, Microservices).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
