Teacher Active is proud to be working with a dynamic secondary school in Exeter. The school seeks to achieve high results from it’s pupils and staff whilst maintaining a supportive, creative and team-spirited environment. The school’s main focus is to support the social, emotional and educational needs of each individual pupil. They need a passionate and inspiring person to help 1 to 1 with their students who need extra academic and emotional encouragement and support.
The school is looking to employ a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a full-time position with the possibility of a permanent position later down the line. The successful applicant will be working with Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 children, helping them to work towards their exams and targets and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to help with the general running of the classroom.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
• Level 2/Level 3 NVQ or equivalent – Desirable
• Teaching Assistant Training - Desirable
• Experience in Secondary/Educational settings – 6 Months+
• Excellent classroom management
• Patience and resilience
