Summary
Key Responsibilities Operational Duties: Support the day-to-day operation of the EPMA system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry and processing. Provide frontline support to healthcare staff using the EPMA system, addressing technical issues and user queries promptly. Assist in the configuration and testing of system updates and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical workflows. Managerial: Participate in planning and enhancing the EPMA service. Review service performance and arrange necessary modifications. Contribute to recruitment and selection of new Technical and Assistant staff. Engage in Digital Medicine Team forward planning. Provide cover for other Higher Level Technicians as needed especially as part of the Clinical Service. Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA): Attain and maintain expert EPMA user status to enhance work practices, patient experience, and clinical governance. Liaise with Pharmacy and Trust-wide staff to support EPMA system development. Support the Lead Pharmacist and Specialist Technician for Digital Medicines in optimising the EPMA system. Actively participate in the wider Digital Medicines Group, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the Trust. Develop and implement audits to measure EPMA system performance. Address queries from healthcare professionals, escalating clinical issues to the Lead Pharmacist as needed. Collaborate with the Pharmacy Computer Services Manager on matters related to system interfaces. Develop policies and procedures to support safe EPMA governance.
