Summary
Seeking a Regulatory Chemist to support the laboratory in maintaining regulatory updates, ensuring they are completed and kept up to date.

SRG are working with a service provider and manufacturer of pet care, cosmetic/ personal care and household products. They work alongside a large range of brands, helping them to develop outstanding products and provide solutions that emulate their brands. They are looking for a Regulatory Chemist that will be also involved in the development of their products in the lab but must also have a genuine interest in regulations as you would be spending the majority of your time performing regulatory tasks and responsibilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Compiling product information files and submit for safety assessment
- Consult CTPA to keep up to date with regulatory changes
- Timely Implementation of regulatory changes
- Checking MSDS's for products
- Completing internal audits
- Drafting Technical standard operating procedures (SOP's)
- Maintaining Raw Materials folders up to date and carry out monthly RM extension report
- Liaise with suppliers, clients, and across internal functions
- Working with external testing houses/regulatory bodies to ensure compliance
- Supporting development chemists in the laboratory
- Ensuring the company has continuous regulatory updates for both Cosmetics and CLP
Qualifications, attributes and skills:
- Chemistry and/ or Cosmetic Science qualifications or similar
- Working experience in cosmetic and household product development
- NPD experience preferred
- Manufacturing background preferable
- Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels within the business.
- Good problem-solving skills
- Accuracy and an eye for detail
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Ability to use Excel
