This role would be managing recruitment across Home & Clothing within Commercial Product, a real mix of roles at various levels across Buying, Merchandising, PR and Design.

The Hiring Manager for this vacancy is Helen Flesch.

You will be responsible for

  • Attracting and hiring great talent for Tesco Head Office through full end to end recruitment, with a focus on direct sourcing.
  • Successfully delivering recruitment activity within tight timeframes.
  • Build excellent relationships with our hiring managers to fully understand requirements, keep them up to date on progress and provide a first class, end to end service.
  • Applying expertise and insight to inform recruitment plans and hiring decisions, providing a consultative approach and guiding hiring managers throughout.
  • Defining and promoting a positive Employer Brand through networking, social media, events and other means.
  • Using social and professional media platforms to attract passive and active candidates, building talent pools and candidate pipelines to service future hiring needs of the business.

You will need

  • Solid expertise in the 360-recruitment delivery cycle, with the ability to influence and advise at all stages of the process.
  • Substantial recruitment experience ideally covering multiple Head Office teams.
  • Excellent professional media skills and proficient in using platforms such as LinkedIn to identify great talent.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, ensuring all stakeholders and hiring managers are kept well informed of project progress.
  • Niche talent “mining” skills, the ability to use boolean and x-ray search strings to find prospective candidates in less than obvious places.
  • Very comfortable using Excel and Applicant Tracking Systems and using the systems to deliver insight and analytics to the business.
  • In house experience gained within Home & Clothing functions (Buying & Merchandising in particular) would be preferable, however a passionate recruiter who has recruited for this role type within an agency environment and who demonstrates pro-activity to move in house would also be considered.
