TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a wonderful primary school based in Leicestershire (LE11) where the school aims to provide an excellent environment for learning that is rich, vibrant and well organised to meet the learning, emotional and spiritual needs of learners and staff within a safe and secure setting.
The school is looking to take on a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant / HLTA for the full academic year who is experienced in 1 to 1 sessions as well as supporting in group settings. The successful applicant will adapt easily to different year groups and uses their initiative.
The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant will have:
• A Level 4 qualification in Education
• Previous experience supporting children in EYFS / KS1 / KS2
• First Aid Qualification (preferred)
• Skills in managing difficult situations
• A positive and motivating approach to children
• Ability to step up and teach a full classroom
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Fantastic knowledge of the curriculum
